Who We Are...
Twelve years ago a group of four artists in Renfrew met and decided to form the Renfrew Art Guild. The aim of the group was to bring together people of a like mind to enjoy each other’s art and company.
The R.A.G. has now evolved into a diverse group of roughly 40 artists that work in all mediums from watercolour, pencil, oil, digital art to metal sculpture. The members are from Renfrew, Braeside, Burnstown, Calabogie, Douglas, Golden Lake, Eganville, Arnprior and the Pontiac in Quebec.
At our meetings we share our knowledge of our mediums and experiences. The end result is that many of the members have expanded their own creativity.
In past years the Guild has held very successful art exhibitions in Renfrew and Calabogie and in July 2012 hosted the largest outdoor art show ever to be held in Renfrew. Thanks to the artists, volunteers, food vendors, entertainers and sponsors who helped to make the inaugural Renfrew Art in the Park a success!
We always welcome new members. If you are interested please feel free to attend one of our meetings held the first Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at St. Andrew's Church, 291 Plaunt Street, Renfrew, ON.
