I am an artist working with vivid acrylics & mixed media. Vibrant abstracts, over-sized florals, textured Canadian vistas & whimsical kaleidoscope fantasies are distinctly recognizable of what is described as my unique joyful style & technique. Many of Ottawa’s remarkable landmarks have been immortalized in my more fanciful series "Pride of Ottawa".
In the capacity as official artist, I have worked with the Ottawa 67's Hockey Club and The Canadian Tulip Festival.
I am pleased to now have my artwork available on fashion and home decor items through www.shopvida.com/collections/jill.
I am honored to be represented by Stonewall Wilde's Art Gallery at 370 Bank Street in Ottawa.
As an instructor, I enjoy sharing my techniques in refined brushwork to achieve depth, dimension & detail. As well as the use of palette knife for rich satisfying texture.
"There are no mistakes, only opportunities of wonder! You simply cannot go wrong in the creative process as creative expression produces magical art & allows for a peaceful & positive state of mind.”
